Lyric <--is alive, really

...This is really just a post to apologize for the tremendous amount of spam you are about to get from my journal if you have me friended. I'll be posting the first three parts of a six-part fanfic all at once, and I beg your patience with me.

I do have real news, though, and I'm long past time for an update. My friend and I have found an apartment in Castle Rock (some fifty miles or so north of the Springs), and we'll be moving in during the later part of November. ^_^ It's a lovely unit on the first floor, with a nice front porch and a view of the town and the rock that is its namesake. I've been living with my grandmother for a year and four months now, and while I love her dearly, she doesn't need me here anymore. I think she'll miss my cat more than she'll miss me. ^_~

I've been thinking that something in my life needs to change, and this seems like a great opportunity. The rent is more than manageable, for the very first time I can afford laundry hookups, and living with my friend is going to be a lot of fun. ^^ Wish me luck.

I'm curious...do you live currently in the Springs? Your profile says Golden...so in other words, does this move you closer to the writer's group, or further away?

Anyway, good luck with the move! And if you need any help with it, I'll volunteer (though you might have to show me a toy or two).

Hi, it's me, a Canadian person you haven't talked to in a while, who shares Transformers fun with you and used to be on Ponystars before she broke the addiction. I haven't been around in the evenings to access AIM so I've missed our little chats and I realize that the best way to solve this would be to add you to the livejournal I actually use, rather than just my fanfic one. Hopefully you won't be too frightened by what you see there. ;)

Congratulations on the new apartment, by the way. It sounds like a positive change of scene. I hope you find it rewarding. :)
